WORKPLACE VIOLENCE
PREVENTION
Workplace violence describes any act of threatening physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening, disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health estimates the annual cost of workplace violence to be approximately $120 billion. Workplace violence can decrease morale, productivity, turnover, and attendance. Our staff can analyze your current state and provide training and education to mitigate the physical and emotional consequences of workplace violence.
ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING
An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area. In 2021, active shooter incidents increased by 52.5%, resulting in 243 casualties. Additionally, 32 of the 61 active shooter incidents occurred in areas of commerce. MDP Consulting provides opportunities to enhance preparedness by providing education, tools, and resources to mitigate and respond to an active shooter incident.
"STOP THE BLEED" TRAINING
Learning how to Stop the Bleed will prepare you to identify and effectively control bleeding using three techniques. Receiving Stop the Bleed training from our certified instructors will enable you to make a difference in saving your or a loved one's life. Stop the Bleed training will provide hands-on education to effectively respond during a bleeding emergency and learn how to construct your medical kit.
POLICY REVIEW & GAP ANALYSIS
Policy, procedure, and plans are the foundation for building resilience in your organization. Our subject matter experts can provide a gap analysis and review of your current state to identify opportunities for improvement within your organization. Our team has exclusive expertise in designing workplace violence prevention; access control; physical security; an environment of care; and the use of force policies, procedures, and plans with various regulatory compliance knowledge in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission.
HAZARDOUS VULNERABILITY & THREAT ASSESSMENT
Hazard vulnerability analysis (HVA) and risk assessments identify hazards or risks that are most likely to impact an organization. HVA and risk assessments identify and prioritize your organization's efforts to prepare, mitigate, and respond to an emergency incident. Our team has extensive experience in healthcare, law enforcement, and physical security. We are certified by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) with knowledge in detecting and managing threats to mitigate the risk to your workforce.
MARYLAND SECURITY GUARD TRAINING
"Effective January 1st ,2025, Security Guard applicants are required to complete a minimum of twelve (12) hours basic training for Security Guards. The Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission has created 17 mandated objectives to be taught in these courses. Security Guard renewals that are completed after June 1, 2024 must be accompanied by proof of eight (8) hours of In-service training. All training content must be approved and authorized by the Certification Unit of the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions prior to being held."
